To support school board/school staff working with OPASSE, Ophea has a variety of strategies to share safety information and to ask questions and request updates, these include:
- Using Ophea’s eConnection, a monthly electronic newsletter, to share key safety topics (Blogs) and monthly safety tips. - Encourage colleagues to sign up for Ophea’s free monthly e-newsletter to stay connected

- Communicating safety updates (as they occur) directly with school board safety contacts  - If you are your school board’s primary safety contact for the 2025/26 school year, please complete this School Board Safety Contact Form to be added to Ophea's School Board Safety Contact List

- Answering safety related questions in a timely manner (as they occur).  - If you have a question, submit it through Ask Ophea

- Providing an opportunity to request an update to the safety standards.   - If you would like to submit a request to modify a current safety standard or develop a new safety standard fill out the Modify the Safety Standards Webform
- All submissions are due by July 15 each year.

- Highlighting the changes that occur on OPASSE with a rationale.  - Yearly changes (Summary of Revisions to OPASSE) are communicated to school boards and posted on the OPASSE website in August
- In-year changes are communicated to school board safety leads and posted on the OPASSE website using a top banner notification feature (as they occur)
