Please be advised that Canadian Red Cross is winding down its swimming and lifeguarding programs to end on December 31st, 2022. The exception will be in First Nations communities where the training will continue as part of the Red Cross Indigenous Peoples Framework.
The Canadian Red Cross is encouraging certified individuals to make the transition to the lifeguarding and aquatic leadership programs of the Lifesaving Society of Canada prior to December 31st, 2022. To facilitate the transition, all Canadian Red Cross swimming and lifeguard certifications have been extended to December 31st, 2022 but will not be valid after this date.
