The Ontario Physical Activity Safety Standards in Education (OPASSE) are updated annually to help educators, coaches, and leaders ensure safe practices in the areas of equipment, clothing, facilities, special rules/instructions and supervision for sport and physical activities. The safety standards are maintained through ongoing review, supported by an expert committee of leaders in school safety practices. Questions and feedback are welcome as the revisions are informed by recommendations, updated certifications, new or revised equipment standards, incidents, and legal proceedings.
